Qualify as a Match Official
Qualify as a Match Official
We are pleased to confirm a third set of dates for FA Referee Courses in the 22/23 season.
After an excellent first half of the season of Match Official recruitment, which saw over 100 newly qualified Referees take the course, we are looking to expand the pool of FA qualified referees in Norfolk.
Refereeing is a great way to keep fit, meet new people, stay involved in football, and earn a bit of additional income. Committed Officials can be rewarded with County Cup Final appointments and Refereeing can even become a viable career opportunity for those progressing up the promotion pathway.
We are delivering three courses at the start of 2023 to allow people to become qualified Match Officials.
The FDC will host two courses in February with one being on a Friday evening and a Sunday. The other is during the School February Half-Term break. We will also be in the West of the County, at Heacham, at the start of March.
Norfolk FA Referee Development Officer Harvey Newstead said: “We have trained over 100 new referees this season, which is excellent, but we are still keen to add to this number to help service Norfolk Football.
“I am really pleased that we will be delivering more courses to give people the opportunity to take up the whistle in 2023.”
The latest set of dates for The FA Referees Course are as follows:
- The FDC - Friday 3rd February 2023, 6pm – 9pm and Sunday 5th February 2023, 9am - 3pm
- The FDC - Tuesday 14th February 2023, 9pm – 2pm and Wednesday 15th February 2023, 9am - 2pm
