Norfolk FA announces 'Harrod Sport Arena' in new long-term partnership
- Norfolk FA and Harrod Sport renew Tier 1 partnership for five years.
- New 3G pitch at The FDC named ‘Harrod Sport Arena’
- Continued sponsorship of Women’s County Cup
- Increased support of grassroots football
Norfolk County FA is delighted to announce a new, five-year agreement with lead partner Harrod Sport.
The agreement through to 2027 will see the global manufacturer become the exclusive equipment partner to Norfolk FA’s FDC facilities, as well acquire the naming rights to the Governing Body’s new 3G stadia pitch.
Harrod Sport supplies elite level sports equipment to British and European professional clubs, UK National Stadiums, and worldwide events.
With over 60 years of UK manufacturing experience, Harrod Sport has been trusted on huge projects over the years including the London, Rio and Tokyo Olympics; the Japan Rugby World Cup; multiple UEFA Champions League Finals; UEFA Euro 2020; and the NFL London Games.
The globally recognised company has recently been preparing for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, and has just acquired the contracts of the rescheduled Rugby League World Cup, the 2022 Commonwealth Games and this Summer’s UEFA Women’s Euro’s.
As well as dealing with football’s elite, Harrod Sport has found the time to support the grassroots game in recent years, first partnering with Norfolk FA in 2019. Together the organisations have improved the equipment at the Association’s Football Development facilities, as well as providing big discounts to Norfolk clubs in order to make elite products more accessible to the grassroots game.
The partnership developed further during the first period with Harrod Sport expanding to show support for the female game through sponsorship of the Norfolk Women’s County Cup competition. Following this, its coach equipment brand ‘Finesse’ also offered support to Norfolk FA’s recently launched Coaches Club.
These aspects of the agreement will continue and expand further to include the FDC’s female-only summer tournament, The FDC Women’s & Girls’ Cup.
The biggest development of the new agreement however will see Harrod Sport acquire the naming rights to Norfolk FA’s new 3G stadia pitch based at its flagship football facility, The FDC in Norwich.
‘Harrod Sport Arena’, as it will be called moving forward, will host training sessions and fixtures all year round, league cup finals, and as recently announced – nine of Norfolk FA’s 2022 County Cup finals this May.
As well as naming rights, the stadia pitch has seen Harrod Sport signage installed thanks to Wensum Print, another of Norfolk FA’s locally based partners. The full perimeter branding really sets the facility aside from others in the area, and the aesthetics of the Harrod Sport Arena will make for an elite level place to play football.
Kate Pasque, Sales & Marketing Executive at Harrod Sport said: "Our partnership with Norfolk FA has gone from strength to strength in the past 3 years and we are delighted that this extension gives us the opportunity to grow the relationship further.
“It is an honour to everyone at Harrod Sport to support grassroots football in Norfolk, and our aim as always is to provide Norfolk FA, and its affiliated clubs, with the best service possible, along with quality and long-lasting equipment.
“It is a privilege to acquire the naming rights to the new state of the art Harrod Sport Arena, and we are proud to see the Harrod Sport logo positioned prominently around the facility. The venue is extremely impressive, and we look forward to attending the official opening next week as well as the Norfolk County Cup Finals taking place throughout May.”
Matt Carpenter, Chief Executive at Norfolk FA said: "I am thrilled that we have been able to extend our partnership with Harrod Sport for a further 5 years and I look forward to continuing to develop the fantastic working relationship that we have with them.
"Harrod Sport are quite simply the best at what they do and to be able to have them as our exclusive equipment partner for our FDC sites is amazing news for everybody who makes use of our facilities. Equally we are extremely proud of our new 3G pitch at The FDC and the addition of the Harrod Sport branding is the icing on the cake and I cannot wait for people to attend the Harrod Sport Arena for our forthcoming County Cup Finals.
"My sincere thanks go to Kevin, Kate, Becky and everyone at Harrod Sport for the tremendous support that they continue to show both Norfolk FA and grassroots football in the county."
