FA FUTSAL SUMMER SHOWDOWN APPOINTMENT

Norfolk FA Referee Harvey Newstead has been appointed to the FA Futsal National Futsal Series Two Final.

Competitive futsal returned in England four weeks ago in the form of The National Futsal Series / Summer Showdown and this coming weekend sees the Finals take place live on BT Sport 1, with Norfolk FA match official Harvey Newstead, who is a National List Level 1 Futsal Referee, taking the role of Referee One for the Series Two Final between Wessex and London Escolla.

The full officiating team for the game, which kicks off at 11.50am, are:

• Referee One - Harvey Newstead (Norfolk FA)
• Referee Two - Jamie Pope (Essex FA)
• Referee Three - Andrew Thomson (London FA)
• Timekeeper - Will Thompson (Nottinghamshire FA)

Speaking about the appointment, Newstead said: “I am very pleased to have been appointed to this Final and I am sure it will be a really good experience. It has obviously not been a normal Futsal season but the Summer Showdown has been excellent and Sunday will be a great showcase of Futsal, live on BT Sport, so I am very much looking forward to it.”
