Sprowston lift this year's Under 13 Girl's Cup
Sprowston lift this year’s Under 13 Girl’s Cup
after beating Broadland.
Full Time – Sprowston 10-1 Broadland
Both sides started the
first half brightly and showed their attacking intent early on. Sprowston broke
the deadlock with 17 minutes played when Hailes got her first goal after she
curled the ball into the bottom left hand corner leaving the goalkeeper no
chance.
Hailes got her second
when she beat her marker on the right wing and crossed the ball into the box.
Her cross caught everyone out as it flew into the net beating the keeper at the
front post. Broadland dominated the final moments of the half but were unable
to convert any chances.
Half Time – Sprowston 2-0 Broadland
The second half was a
very one-sided affair as Sprowston began to run riot. Goals were flying in as
the minutes went past with the Broadland defence unable to cope with the
pressure.
However, with ten
minutes left to play Broadland got their goal as their forward latch onto a
well weighted through ball and slotted the ball past the on rushing keeper.
