COUNTY CUP FINAL MATCH OFFICIAL APPOINTMENTS

Our programme of County Finals kicks off at The Football Development Centre in Bowthorpe on Friday 23^rd March, where Andrew Wilson will take charge of the John Savage Cup Final between Attleborough Town and Firside Athletic. He will be assisted by Egidijus Amsiejus and Leon Howard with last years’ Referee, Dario Matthewson, on hand as fourth official.

Two of our superstars this season have been Ollie Sadd and Ashley Tyne who have both achieved the impressive feat of making the ‘double jump’ from Level 7 to Level 5. It takes a great deal of dedication alongside natural ability to achieve this, and they are rewarded with the middles of the Veterans Cup Final and the Women’s Cup Final respectively. Ollie and Ashley at just 23 and 25 years of age have great refereeing futures in front of them and there is plenty of other young refereeing talent on show in County Finals again this season.

Matt Friend (17) and Tom Rampling (16) will be the Assistants on the Stuart Dracup Final; Harvey Newstead (16) appears on the Sunday Junior Cup Final, Sam Dorrell (18) is on the Primary Cup while Callum Parke (19) and Tom Brown (22) make their Carrow Road debuts as Assistant Referees in the Norfolk Junior Cup Final. Our youngest Referee is Ady George (22), he has achieved three promotions in three years and has the final of the Primary Cup to celebrate with!

It’s not all about the youngsters though, some of our top rated Assistant Referees operating on the EA Pool this season are rather more ‘experienced’. Hence Paul Smith, David Fairhurst and Vic Petri will be patrolling lines at a combined age of 201. In the Carrow Road Finals, regular Sunday performer Jason Ding will take charge of the Sunday Senior Final. Jason has established himself well as a Level 4 this season, while Cameron Brown has had an amazing first year as a level 4 and will look forward to a competitive Junior Cup Final.

In the Norfolk Senior Cup Final, Ricky Owen, everyone’s favourite postman, will deliver as the man in the middle, assisted by top ranked Level 4s, Nathan Walker and Mark Ames. Last years’ Referee, Darin Geary, will act as fourth official.
