There was so much enthusiasm on the pitch, with some good football from both sides. I enjoyed the game very much and also the tea and cake after too! Looking forward to us meeting again."

A Player from Sheringham Women’s Over 50s Walking Football Team said: "I am recently bereaved and saw an advert for an over 50s Women's Walking Football Club and I nervously joined. I've always loved playing football with the kids, but never had the opportunity to join a women's team. That was July 2024 and I have not looked back since. These sessions enable me to tune into sport, hope and life, so that my grieving is more manageable.

"I am fitter, less lonely and feel I belong to an amazingly supportive group of people who make me feel safe and enable me to laugh out loud again! I have to say a huge thanks to the ladies who their husbands, in the mixed Thursday group, and set up the Friday group. Literally life saving."
