Club Recognition Scheme for Positive Behaviour

At Norfolk FA we want to recognise and reward teams that are playing, coaching and spectating the game positively!

We have recently completed a piece of work that looked at the respect scores for all adult & youth teams awarded by their opposition in fixtures. This included player behaviour on the pitch & coaches and spectators' behaviour around the pitch.

We were delighted to find that 415 youth teams and 75 adult teams received 100% positive feedback in their matches for the first half of the season.

Each team were entered into a prize draw for their category to win a £50 equipment voucher to be used for their team. The winners can be viewed in the document attached at the bottom of this page.

Congratulations to all of the teams, players, coaches & spectators for creating a positive football environment!

Norfolk FA Football Delivery Officer, James Buhlemann, said: "When we start to talk about behaviour in football, culturally we usually highlight the bad behaviour first.

"We know that there are many clubs and teams in Norfolk that are doing great work both on and off the pitch and we wanted to highlight, congratulate and reward these teams.

"We are pleased to have so many teams that are consistently scoring 100% respect marks across their fixtures for behaviour of players, coaches and spectators. This is vital for ensuring our players have a safe and fun environment to enjoy and learn the beautiful game."
