New Formats Festivals
Norfolk FA will be hosting Transition Festivals to support teams that are moving up to new formats next season. The aim of these are to help support players and coaches moving into new formats in the 2024/25 season. - Scores will not be kept and teams will be encouraged to share playing time and experiment new positions / formations.
Norfolk FA Football Development Officer (Male Pathways & Coaching), James Buhlemann said: "We have run multiple new formats festivals over the last decade, and they have always been very well received. The aim is to create an environment where players and coaches can experience playing their new playing format in safe, development space."
The cost to enter each festival will be £35 - All teams will play minimum of 70-80mins match play in their format.
We have limited spaces for each festival. Spaces will only be confirmed once payment has been received.
*AGE GROUPS BELOW ARE FOR 2024/25 SEASON*
- U7’s starting 5v5 – Sat 27th July 9.30am-12noon (held at The FDC, Bowthorpe)
- U9’s moving to 7v7 – Sat 10th August (held at The FDC, Bowthorpe)
- U11’s moving to 9v9 – Sun 11th August July (held at The FDC, Bowthorpe)
- U13’s moving to 11v11 – Sun 28th July (held at The FDC, Bowthorpe)
