Norfolk FA Club Menu: Costessey Sports FC

Norfolk FA recently delivered a bespoke coaching workshop for Costessey Sports FC.

The FDC in Bowthorpe recently hosted the latest Norfolk FA Club workshop. The evening was delivered by our Football Development team for Costessey Sports FC who had accessed the Norfolk FA Club Menu and requested assistance and advice for their Youth Coaches.

We spoke to Costessey Sports FC Coach, Dan Henry, after the workshop:

Why did you choose to use the club menu?

“Simply because it offers support to help run our football club and improve it. There are many options on the club menu to consider but all of them are beneficial to grassroots clubs like ourselves. We also really like the idea of the FA building bespoke support around what we need, rather than the traditional delivery of attending pre-planned CPD or training events.”

How beneficial have you found it?

“Extremely beneficial! Due to the impact of covid, we have several new coaches that are really keen and enthusiastic but haven't been able to share ideas and practises with other coaches in a face to face environment. With the level 1 and playmaker course now being delivered online, the club menu gave our coaches the chance to view sessions on the grass in a really supportive and comfortable environment. As a club we believe if we can educate our coaches at their start of their coaching journey on the best practises, that will only benefit them, our players and ultimately us as a club.”

Would you recommend other clubs utilising the menu?

“Absolutely! The ability to work with Anna and Norfolk FA to create a bespoke support session based around your individual club’s needs would work for every club regardless of size or focus.”
