Youth Council members to attend FA Leadership Academy
We would like to congratulate Benjamin Woodruff (17) and Shannon Owen (16) who are the selected two from Norfolk.
They will be arriving at the National Training Centre for English football at St Georges Park on Monday 24 July ahead of what will be an unforgettable experience.
Benjamin Woodruff, Norfolk FA Youth Council’s Chairman said “I am extremely delighted to have been selected for the National Leadership Academy this year as it will give me a chance to develop my leadership skills further and to network with other young leaders. I have wanted to go to this National event ever since a talk from Harry Diggens, Charlotte Savage and Matthew Barrett about their experiences there so it will be great to finally get to do it myself! I'm looking forward to this incredible opportunity and hope it gives me lots to take away, I can't wait to see what it will bring."
Shannon Owen is the Female Participation Officer on the Youth Council and she said “I'm really excited to be going to the FA Leadership Academy and I am really honoured to have been nominated and chosen to participate in this amazing opportunity. It will be a great learning curve and I hope to take away a lot from it”.
Norfolk FA’s Football Development Officer Harry Diggens will also be attending this year’s Academy as a Youth Leader Mentor. Harry said “I am extremely pleased to have been invited to attend the Academy as a mentor this year. I am looking forward to being able to meet other likeminded individuals to share good practice and network with other Youth Mentors”
